BookMyTravelBuddy is a community platform that connects members of the Indian diaspora so they can help one another travel — for example by finding a trusted companion on the same flight to assist an elderly relative. BookMyTravelBuddy is only a platform that introduces members; we are not a travel agency, airline or tour operator, and we are not a party to any arrangement you make with another member.

• You must be at least 18 years old to use BookMyTravelBuddy.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• You may not impersonate others or create accounts to evade a block or ban.

You agree not to:

• harass, threaten, defraud or endanger other members, or send sexual, abusive or hateful content;
• use the platform for scams, spam or any unlawful purpose;
• misuse personal information shared with you by another member, or share it outside the platform without consent.

Chat messages are screened by an automated content filter, and members can report or block others. We may remove content, and suspend or delete accounts that breach these Terms.

BookMyTravelBuddy facilitates voluntary, good-faith help between members. We do not employ, vet beyond our verification badges, or supervise members, and we do not guarantee anyone's conduct. You are responsible for your own decisions about whom to connect or travel with. Always use your judgement and follow airline and airport rules.

A member may attach an optional reward (shown as a Pro or VIP badge) to a flight or parcel post — a voluntary thank-you gift settled directly between the two members. On parcels it is a gift only, never a fee for carrying (see section 6). This is entirely a private arrangement between the two members.

• We never handle the money. BookMyTravelBuddy is not a payment processor, escrow agent, marketplace or party to any reward. We do not collect, hold, transmit, set, or guarantee any amount. There is no gateway on the platform; any payment is agreed and settled directly between members, off-platform, at their own risk.
• No guarantee. We give no guarantee of payment, performance, refund or outcome, and we are not liable for any loss, non-payment, overpayment, scam, fraud, chargeback, theft or dispute arising from a reward or any money members exchange.
• Protect yourself. Never send money before you have matched and agreed the details, and never pay anything up front. Treat anyone who demands payment before helping, or who asks you to move off the platform to pay, as a red flag and report them.
• No prohibited use. You may not use rewards or the platform to launder money, defraud anyone, solicit advance fees, or for any unlawful purpose. Rewards must never be offered for anything that breaks airline, airport or any other law.
• Your responsibility. You are solely responsible for any tax, reporting or other legal obligations on money you give or receive.

Report suspected fraud through the Contact page; in an emergency, contact local authorities first.

Parcel Buddy lets members hand-carry small personal items for one another. It is a voluntary favour between members. BookMyTravelBuddy is not a courier, freight forwarder or logistics provider, does not take custody of anything, and offers no insurance, tracking or guarantee of delivery.

• No fee for carrying.Carrying is a favour, not a paid service: you may not charge, or be charged, a fee to carry an item, and nothing may change hands for “customs” or “excess baggage”. A member may give an optional thank-you gift (shown as a Pro or VIP badge), and on a “buy this and bring it” errand the person who asked reimburses exactly what the shop receipt says. Both are settled directly between the members, never up front, and we never process, hold or guarantee that money.
• The open-item rule. All items must be handed over unsealed. The carrier must personally inspect every item and pack it into their own baggage themselves. Do not accept anything sealed, wrapped or pre-packed.
• Declaration. Senders must declare every item honestly and completely. Handing over anything not on the declared manifest is a serious breach of these Terms.
• Prohibited items. The list at /parcels/rules forms part of these Terms and must be followed.
• Legal responsibility. The member carrying an item is solely responsible for compliance with customs, import, export, aviation-security and medicines law in every country on their route. Criminal liability for carrying prohibited goods rests with the carrier, regardless of what they were told about the contents.
• Medicines. Prescription medicine must travel in its original labelled packaging with a copy of the prescription. Do not upload prescriptions or share patient information through the platform; we do not collect health data.

We may remove posts, cancel matches and suspend accounts that breach this section. You may withdraw from a handover at any time, for any reason, without penalty.

The Community forum lets members post discussions and questions and reply to one another. It is a public, member-run space; posts and replies are the views of the members who write them, not of BookMyTravelBuddy.

• Not professional advice. Content in the forum — including on visas, immigration, airports, health and money — is personal experience and opinion, not legal, immigration, medical, tax or financial advice. Verify anything important with the official source or a licensed professional before acting on it. You rely on forum content at your own risk.
• Moderation. Threads are reviewed and must be approved before they appear publicly; replies post immediately and are not pre-reviewed. We may edit, remove, refuse, pin or reorder content, and suspend or ban accounts, at our discretion.
• Acceptable use.Do not post spam, advertising, self-promotion or solicitation; content that is unlawful or that helps anyone deceive immigration, customs or an airline; or another person's private or identifying information (including passport or visa numbers or document images). The full Community rules form part of these Terms and must be followed.
• Your content.Only post content you own or have the right to share. You are responsible for what you post and for keeping others' personal data off the board.

If you feel unsafe or encounter inappropriate behaviour, use the Report or Block options on a member's profile or in chat, or contact us via the Contact page. In an emergency, always contact local authorities first.

You retain ownership of the content you post (profile details, flight and parcel posts, item photos, messages, and community threads and replies). You grant us a limited licence to host and display it so the service can function. You are responsible for the content you share and confirm you have the right to share it.

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, BookMyTravelBuddy is not liable for the acts or omissions of members, for any interaction, trip, reward or payment arranged between members, or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You may delete your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or put the community at risk.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new “last updated” date; continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
